Aim of the course: Achievement of A2 level. Scope of studies The whole scope of studies is 200 academical hours (160 in class, 40 at home). Topics ability to talk about yourself and your environment. Profession, job, work. Services sector. Everyday routine. Residence. Health. Leisure time, hobbies, entertainment. Shopping, prices. Food. Relationship and communication. NAtural environment and weather. Culture and languages, studies of language. Travel, transportation, showplaces. Results of studies: in the end pf the course the student: – Can understand simple and clearly spoken texts on topics relating the student (family, shopping, residence, job). – Can read and understand short simple texts, including personal letters; can find information in the simple texts, such as: advertisement, job ads, restaurant menu, streets, timetable of public transport. – Can exchange information on a topic and support conversation. – Can describe with help of simple phrases and sentences his family and other people, life circumstances, education, job etc. – Can make notes and compose simple personal letters, messages, texts, fulfill questionnaires.

Environment, nature, weather. Culture and languages, language studies. Travel, transportation, sights and show-places. Communication in the institutions. Results of studies: in the end pf the course the student: – Can understand conversation on familiar topic (work, free time and the others). – Can understand speech on a radio or TV if the speech is clear and slow – Can understand written text about his job, as well as personal letters about events, thoughts and emotions. – Can make conversation on a famiilar topic without preparation (family, hobby, work, travel, events of the day). – Can retell a short story, book or movie. – Can describe events and plans using simple sentences. Can justify and explain his point of view. – Can compose simple textes, personal letters on a familiar topic and desribe impressions.

Results of studies: in the end of the course a student: – Can understand long conversations and speeches, news, publicistic programmes, movies. – Can read and understand articles, modern prose, complex textes on studied topics. – Can make conversation withou preparation, participate in discussions, express and confirm the point of view, can bring argument for and against. – Can write detailed and clear texts, essays, can make written generalizaion, comment and substantiate point of view. Can write official letters.
